Please join us for an engaging presentation Geralyn (Geri) Presti is the President & CEO of The Music Settlement (TMS), a 107-year-old community school for the arts in Cleveland. She is responsible for the Settlement’s two campuses, as well as the BOP STOP, the organization’s jazz and blues performance venue. Immediately prior to assuming this role, Geri was the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Forest City Realty Trust, Inc. (formerly Forest City Enterprises, Inc.), the company she would ultimately serve for 28 years. It was her first job forty years ago as a music therapist at TMS, however, that led her back home.
Geri is an active leader in numerous civic and philanthropic organizations, and is a frequent speaker on topics related to law, corporate governance, the arts, and leadership. Among her numerous awards, Geri was named a YWCA Woman of Achievement, received the 2015 Humanitarian Award from the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio, and was a recipient of the Burton Awards’ Legends in Law Award.
Geri received a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Ohio University, a Masters in Social Science Administration from The Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at CWRU, and her Juris Doctor from the CWRU School of Law.
