Description: A talk about the brilliant community of European émigrés living in Los Angeles in the 1930s and 40s. Many were Jewish and from Germany, in flight from the Nazis. The émigrés included Schoenberg, Stravinsky, Thomas Mann, Theodor Adorno, Alma Mahler, Brecht, and Aldous Huxley.
