Judson Senior Living presents its first-ever virtual gallery talks with three resident artists who live at Judson Park. As Judson continues to practice safe distancing in the midst of the pandemic, these virtual gallery talks will safely bring people together to showcase the work of Leonard Trawick, Beth Hoffman and Alex Cook. Throughout the past few months, these residents have been using art to express themselves in a time of isolation and uncertainty.
The final installment of the series focuses on the works of Alex Cook. Maritime Artist of the Great Lakes, Art Educator, Museum Curator and Shadow Box Artist. These are just a few of the phrases that describe Alex Cook. Alex, while confined to his apartment due to the pandemic, has used this time to create detailed 3D shadow box depictions of maritime and local scenes. Alex states that he is “…trying to do what artists have been trying to do for centuries”
