‘Tis the Season – Judson Residents Give Back in Amazing Ways

The residents at Judson retirement communities give back to their community in amazing ways. From helping ex-felons improve their job interviewing skills to providing hand-knit clothing to donate to Cleveland area hunger centers, there is no end to the generosity.

Here are some inspiring examples of how Judson residents volunteer their time.

The Man with All the Answers

Quick-witted and affable Jordan Perlman answers nearly 80 questions a day, Monday through Friday, as a volunteer concierge at the Miller Information Desk at Cleveland Clinic.

“It gives me something positive to do,” says Jordan. “I enjoy helping people. I’ve made a lot of friends.”

Schooling Ex-felons in the Art of the Job Interview

When Ginnie’s not busy taking classes at Case Western Reserve University, or enjoying the cultural advantages of University Circle with her husband George, she is at Towards Employment’s downtown Cleveland headquarters conducting mock interviews with the agency’s clients, many of whom have multiple felonies.
