Family Art Days at Judson offer residents, their families and friends unique opportunities for connection, personal expression and joy through shared art-making. The brain child of Judson Art Therapy Coordinator Cathy Bryan, the art projects follow a theme and make innovative use of both traditional and non-traditional materials.
Creating art has a number of health benefits at any age, including:
Encouraging thinking “Outside of the Box”
Boosting self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment
Increasing empathy, tolerance
Enhancing cognitive abilities and memory
Both residents and families look forward to these laid-back, fun and creative Saturday afternoons! Need proof? Watch the following video!
